STARBORN is an Afro-Latina poet originating from the Dominican Republic whose voice commands both stage and spirit. She began writing in the third grade and has since transformed her love for words into powerful spoken word performances that challenge perspectives and ignite critical thought. Through vivid metaphors and striking imagery, STARBORN paints her truth with the intention of touching, liberating, and inspiring others to embrace their voices and speak their truth LOUD and proud.

Beyond the mic, STARBORN channels her creativity through Aura & Ember — “A poetic shift with every flame.” This recently launched candle company beautifully marries her love of poetry with her passion for crafting soulful experiences. Each candle is handmade using 100% soy wax and non-toxic fragrances, and what truly sets them apart is their poetic touch — every candle includes an excerpt from an original STARBORN poem, allowing each flame to tell a story of its own.
