Ruta Levu

Author Bio: My name is Ruta Levu and I grew up in San Francisco Bay area in the 1970s and 1980s.  I grew up with my three sisters, Sina, Oliana and Carolyn. We lost our mother very young and was raised by our maternal grandparents and our two gay uncles.  

My book, Our Uncle's Promise is about Our family from when our mother died to when I left for college.  Our story is about unconditional love, coming out, coming of age and a tender tribute to love as a daily practice and a promise kept.

I am currently married with one human child and five fur babies. I see and talk to my sisters often.  I am still tge unicorn that farts rainbows.
