My name is Queen Norris, I am a Director|Writer|Producer and Ive wanted to make movies since I was 9 years old. I am from Brooklyn, I attended thee Howard University for film school and I moved to Atlanta to do exactly what I love.

Screenwriter Interview:
1. How did you discover your passion for screen writing?
I started writing when I was about 4. I would create books out of notebook and construction paper, and force my brother and cousins to read them. Then when I was 9, I saw Back To The Future for the first time, and that film made me want to write movies instead of books.
2. Who has been your biggest influence in the movie industry?
Im from Brooklyn so of course Spike Lee was my first influence in the industry. Then when I got older, Love and Basketball came out. It was the first film I saw myself in. A ball playing tomboy, stupid in love with a boy in my class. At that point, Gina Prince-Bythwood became my biggest film influence.
3. Who are two actors you would like to work with, why?
I would love to work with Sandra Bullock, I love her quirkiness and silliness. And Jamie Foxx because his range is absolutely amazing.
4. How many screenplays or scripts have written and or have produced? List titles please.
So, there has been too many screenplays to count lol. But I have written and produced 5 in the last 3 years. They are Til' My Casket Drops(out on Tubi), Danksgiving(out on Tubi), The Night(postproduction), Love is Illusion(waiting release date), and Militant Heart(waiting release date).

5. What are some pitfalls you've experienced in your career?
Being a woman in this business is no joke! On top of the issue you deal with just being a woman in a male dominated industry, this business is so cutthroat and so ruthless. And being an indie filmmaker is tough, sometimes you have to count pennies to eat till your next gig. The grind never stops.
6. What are your best experiences in your career?
I would say the team I work with makes all the crazy tough times feel like nothing. We've been rocking with each other for 7 years now, I wouldnt be nowhere near where I am without my crew.
7. Are you independent or do you have a contract with a movie producer?
Independant all the way! I have no intentions on signing with a studio, its way too political. I have more films out than most Hollywood directors because I have control and say over what I shoot and when I shoot.
8. What is your all time favorite movie or movies? Why? Would you change anything about the story plot?
Back to the Future is my all time favorite film, its the film that made me want to make movies. It's innovative, it's action packed, and it goes against the grain.
