Author/Writer Interview:

1. What inspires you most to write?

What inspires me most to write is the power of transformation—seeing how words can heal, awaken, and shift perspective. Writing is my way of connecting spirit to story, and it’s where I can share my experiences and lessons in a way that helps others feel seen, inspired, and empowered to grow.

2. What is your favorite genre?

I love writing in the self-development and spiritual wellness space. I’m drawn to anything that uplifts, educates, and brings awareness to holistic living and emotional healing. It’s all about writing that feeds the soul.

3. Who is one author you admire and why?

I deeply admire Maya Angelou. Her courage, authenticity, and way with words are powerful. She spoke truth with grace and gave voice to generations that needed to be heard—something I strive to do in my own work.

4. How do you overcome blank writing spells?

I step back and reconnect with life. Sometimes writer’s block is just a sign that I need stillness, a walk in nature, or time in meditation. I allow it to return when I’m aligned again.

5. What legal publishing advice can you give?

Always know your rights as an author. Read every contract carefully, protect your intellectual property, and if you can, consult a literary attorney or experienced mentor before signing anything. Your work deserves proper protection.

6. How many books have you written, are any a bestseller yet?

I’ve written multiple projects, including two that ive published and those still in development. I don’t measure success only by bestseller lists—I value the impact my words have on readers. That’s what defines a true success story to me.

7. If you had the opportunity to rewrite one movie script, which would it be and why?

I’d love to rewrite Eat Pray Love with a deeper focus on holistic healing and spiritual alignment from a cultural, ancestral perspective. The theme of self-discovery resonates, but I’d add more elements of energy healing, balance, and soul work.

8. What are some difficulties you’ve experienced in your writing career; how do you handle book critiques/criticism?

One of the biggest challenges has been staying authentic in a world that often pushes trends. As for criticism, I take it as growth fuel. Not every reader will connect with my message—and that’s okay. It teaches me balance and refinement.

9. What are your best experiences in your writing career?

Hearing from readers who say my words have helped them heal or find clarity. Those moments remind me why I write—to make an impact beyond myself.

10. Do you prefer to write in silence or have some sound in the background?

It depends on my mood. Sometimes silence allows my thoughts to flow freely. Other times, I love soft instrumental or healing music. It keeps me grounded and inspired.

11. What are some encouraging words you'd give to another author/writer?

Write with honesty and intention. Don’t chase perfection; chase authenticity. Your story has power, and someone out there is waiting to hear it exactly the way only you can tell it.

12. How did you decide the pricing of your material; how did you go about promotion/advertising and distribution of your work?

I based my pricing on the value, time, and heart that went into creating each piece. For promotion, I use a blend of social media storytelling, holistic wellness events, and networking with like-minded communities. Authentic connections build organic visibility.

13. Why should anyone read your book?

Because it’s real, soulful, and healing. My work speaks to the part of you that’s ready to grow and align with your higher self. It’s not just a book—it’s an experience of reflection and renewal.

14. Did you have a book coach?

No official coach, but I had mentors and peers who guided and encouraged me through the process. I believe in divine timing and learning from both experience and intuition.

15. What was your favorite subject in school?

Math and Biology. I’ve always loved exploring humans and anatomy. This has led me to psychology and writing as time went on.

16. Are you self-published or have an established publishing contract elsewhere?

I’m self-published, which gives me the freedom to stay authentic to my voice and vision. It allows me to blend my entrepreneurial side with my creative one.
