Author Pre-Interview: I have been writing for as long as I can remember. But I’ve worn various hats throughout the years. I was a stay at home mom, and became the PTA president when my kids were in elementary school (they are 28 and 25 now)
I became an actor when my daughter was 11 because she wanted to act and I needed to understand the acting world. I continued on until Covid hit.
I also became a Voiceover actor in those years and I have my own home studio.
Writing is my passion. I am working on 2 other books at this time, in between book signings and promotional work for “Constructing Lies”.

Author Interview:
1.What inspires you most to write?
I am an observer of the world and people. Sometimes things grab my attention in a powerful way and I need to write about in my own way.
2. What is your favorite genre?
I have always loved thrillers and psychological thrillers.
3. Who is one author you admire if any and why?
Maybe cliche but I have always loved Stephen King and his writings. The first book I read of his was The Stand when I was 13.
4. How do you overcome blank writing spells?
I walk away from the writing process and let the words return to my head at their own pace.
5. What legal publishing advice can you give?
Research the publishing company you may be interested in before you commit.
6. How many books have you written, are any a bestseller yet?
I’ve written many short stories but Constructing Lies is my first novel. I hope it becomes a bestseller!
7. If you had the opportunity to rewrite one movie script which would it be, why?
That’s a tough one. Even though I’ve acted for 10 years, I honestly don’t watch many movies.
8. What are some difficulties you've experienced in your writing career; how do you handle book critiques/criticism?
I received one low score from someone and I actually reached out to find out why she scored my book as a 2 out of 5. She never responded but changed it to a 3. I would still like to know the reason.
9. What are your best experiences in your writing career?
Getting published and receiving great reviews. Narrating my own audiobook so there is an element of a personality vs an AI flat narration.

10. Do you prefer to write in silence and or have some sort sound in the background?
I need silence.
11. What are some encouraging words you'd give to another author/writer?
If you are passionate about writing you will succeed. Don’t write just to write. Write as though you are also reading the book. Read it out loud to someone so you can hear the words you’ve written.
12. How did you decide the pricing of your material; how did you go about promotion/advertising and distribution of your work?
I ended up having a publisher. I, however, push my promotions and advertising by following other writers and dropping my link. I also do public signings and have offered (and been accepted) to appear in a book club (virtually) to answer questions.
13. Why should anyone read your book?
If you like a book that is a psychological thriller that keeps your attention throughout the twists and turns and surprises, then this is the book you need to read.
14. Did you have a book coach?
No.
15. What was your favorite subject in school?
English and math.
16. Are you self-published or have an established publishing contract elsewhere?
I am published right now through Spines.

I personally loved the book. I couldn't put it down! I am looking forward to your next book!
