Author Bio: Many know me as your favorite Author and host, Gigi Blanco. I’m 32 years old, happily married, and proud to call New Orleans, Louisiana my home. I radiate “Big Cancer energy” with a birthday on July 5th, I work as a Direct Service Worker and have been dedicated to this role for nearly four years. However, writing is my true passion, and I’m determined to make it my lifelong career.

Author/Writer Interview:
1. What inspires you most to write?
Writing allows me to craft immersive worlds where readers can escape the ordinary and lose themselves in my stories. The greatest inspiration comes from sharing new chapters with my biggest supporter—my wife—whose excitement fuels my creativity and drives me to push boundaries with every page.
2. What is your favorite genre?
Urban fantasy charms me most. I’m drawn to its magical, mystical landscapes, where reality and imagination blend seamlessly, offering endless possibilities for adventure and wonder.

3. Who is one author you admire and why?
I deeply admire Wahida Clark for her authentic storytelling and masterful wordplay. Her ability to weave realism into her narratives inspires me to bring the same depth and honesty to my own work.
4. How do you overcome blank writing spells?
Writer’s block is a familiar challenge, but I defeat it by listening to smooth jazz or R&B instrumentals, revisiting my previous work, and brainstorming with my wife. These rituals help reignite my creativity and keep the ideas flowing.
5. Why did you choose GangTales Publications as your publishing house?
GangTales Publications stood out for its clear vision, especially through Stanley James II. Joining the GangTales family felt like an honor, and I believe in the direction and hustle they bring to the publishing world.
6. How many books have you written, and are any bestsellers?
I’ve authored three books: Bliss After the Storm, Bliss After the Storm 2: Consequences, and Sleeping with Sin. I’m currently working on Bliss After the Storm 3: Taken Over. Each book is a testament to my growth and dedication as a writer.
7. If you could rewrite one movie script, which would it be and why?
I’ve never considered rewriting another’s work, as I believe the original creator’s vision deserves respect. The authenticity of the original is irreplaceable.
8. What difficulties have you experienced in your writing career, and how do you handle criticism?
Juggling multiple ideas and unfinished manuscripts can be overwhelming, but I welcome constructive critiques—they help me grow and refine my craft. While I don’t dwell on criticism, I value feedback that points out areas for improvement.
9. What are your best experiences in your writing career?
Nothing compares to the joy of holding a physical copy of my book for the first time. Seeing my words come to life is a moment I’ll cherish forever.
10. Do you prefer to write in silence or with background sound?
I thrive with smooth jazz or R&B instrumentals softly playing as I brainstorm. The music sets the mood and helps me channel my thoughts onto the page.

11. What encouraging words would you give to another author or writer?
Don’t hesitate to write the book you’ve been putting off. The world may surprise you with its understanding and appreciation. Pour your heart into your work—sometimes, the story you’re most afraid to tell is the one readers need most.
12. How has writing under GangTales Publications impacted your career?
GangTales Publications pushed me beyond my comfort zone and opened doors I never imagined. Their support has shown me that dreams are attainable and that my stories can reach places I never thought possible.
13. Why should anyone read your book?
My books supply everything a reader craves—drama, love, intrigue, and more. Readers tell me they can’t put them down, constantly turning pages and clutching their pearls. I write to entertain and leave a lasting impression.
