Author Interview

1.What inspires you to write most?

I just have a love for writing. Once I get into a flow, I am inspired to create compelling stories.

2. What is your favorite genre?

-Right now would be psychological thrillers. I recently got into the genre with my last two books and really enjoyed it.

3. Who is one author you admire if any and why?

-Joy Deja King and James Patterson. I have loved both of them ever since I really got into Reading/writing. James Patterson puts out like ten books a year and Joy went through a lot as an indie publisher just to get her books under her own company. So I admire them both for those reasons.

4. How do you overcome blank writing spells?

-I actually never have those because I use outlines for every one of my stories. It something I teach my clients. It helps keep me on track and organized.

5. What legal publishing advice can you give?

-Copyright your books!

6. How many books have you written, are any a bestseller yet?

-Not yet, but I have published twenty-three. My next book comes out on September 16th of this year.

7. If you had the opportunity to rewrite one movie script which would it be, why?

-Oh wow, I don’t think there’s one.

8. What are some difficulties you've experienced in your writing career; how do you handle book critiques/criticism?

-One would be to learn not to expect support from family and friends. Most real support comes from strangers. I haven’t gotten any criticisms. If I do get a bad review, I shrug it off. As an author, the worst thing you can do is respond to a review. People are allowed to have opinions.

9. What are your best experiences in your writing career?

-I love the shocked faces I get when I say I’ve written twenty-three books. The amazement makes me feel good.

10. Do you prefer to write in silence and or have some sort sound in the background?-Definitely silence.

11. What are some encouraging words you'd give to another author/writer?

-Keep writing. Just keep going and write for you. Not for the satisfaction of others. Because if we look for that, we will never find fulfillment in writing.

12. How did you decide the pricing of your material; how did you go about promotion/advertising and distribution of your work?

-Pricing I try to keep reasonable for the readers but also profitable for myself. I advertise a lot online and word of mouth. Distribution is through my website, in person or Amazon.

13. Why should anyone read your book?

-I write stories that have twists, it makes the reader think and most importantly they are page turners. Most readers never want my books to end and have a hard time putting them down.

14. Did you have a book coach?

-No.

15. What was your favorite subject in school?

-English

16. Are you self-published or have an established publishing contract elsewhere?

-I am self published. No contracts ever again in life unless it’s worth it.
