Author Interview:

1. How has becoming a published Author impacted your lifestyle?

Becoming a published author has changed my life in many ways. It opened my eyes to new perspectives and allowed me to tap into my creative self more deeply, not just in writing, but in how I present myself to the world. I began taking my craft more seriously and recognized the importance of networking. Being a published author has influenced nearly every aspect of my personal and social life, from the way I use social media to the conversations I have with people. I’m grateful for all the memories and experiences my books have brought into my life.

2. What influence does your book/books have on its audience?

I believe my books have an empowering influence on readers, from Iris’s flight to the Realm of Fairies in A World Beyond the Rainbow to Leo’s courageous transformation in Leo the Lionhearted Cat. My stories aim to rekindle a sense of wonder, helping readers see the world in a new light.

3. Are or have you released any new books recently?

Since we last connected, I’ve written three new children’s books: The Princess and the Golden Hart, Tia and the Terracotta Horse (traditionally published by Ukiyoto), and Leo the Lionhearted Cat (independently published on KDP). I’ve also contributed short stories and poems to six anthologies, including The Mega Manuscript, which holds a world record.

4. What has been your biggest inspiration to keep writing?

The joy of expressing my experiences, thoughts, and ideas in the form of beautiful books has been my biggest inspiration to keep writing. I also feel deeply motivated by the heartfelt reviews and messages I receive from readers around the world.

5. What pitfalls have you experienced as a published Author?

Delegating tasks to the wrong people led to frustration and unnecessary expenses early on. I also lacked a clear marketing plan, which made it harder to reach my intended readers. As I began networking, I learned a great deal about the publishing industry and received invaluable advice from more experienced authors. I was still a teen when I wrote my first children’s book, driven simply by the desire to recreate the joy I felt from my own favorite childhood stories. I hadn’t yet imagined it would grow into a creative business I’d be building in my 20s.

6. If you could feature or collaborate with one celebrity, who would it be?

If I could feature or collaborate with one celebrity, it would be Johnny Depp. I’ve admired him ever since I watched Alice in Wonderland. I love the way he brings the enigmatic and ethereal to life through his performances, especially in roles like the Mad Hatter.

7. What platform/s would you suggest new Authors use for advertising or review purposes?

It really depends on each author’s preferences. Some find email lists more effective, while others thrive on social media. From my experience, Facebook groups and Instagram have been wonderful for networking and book launches. They’ve helped me connect with supportive writing communities and discover collaborative promo opportunities. It’s great for visibility, companionship, and accountability.

8. Do you enjoy reading or writing more? Why?

It depends on my mental state. When I’m in a creative flow, writing feels deeply fulfilling. But when I’m in a reflective or curious mood, reading brings me more joy.
