Screenwriter Interview:
1. How did you discover your passion for screen writing?
I fell in love with writing around 8 when I discovered Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni , & Maya Angelou. Story telling through poetry was first. Then I discovered story telling through song, then books. I loved movies all I did was watch movies but Writing a film or the fact that little old me could write a film didn’t cross my mind until I was a adult and I begin working as a actress in theatre. Seeing a script is what sparked my interest but storytelling has always been my passion.
2. Who has been your biggest influence in the movie industry?
Keenan Ivory Wayans , Robert Townsend, John Singleton, Martin Scorsese, Doug McHenry
3. Who are two actors you would like to work with, why?
There’s so many but right now I can think of ,Giancarlo Esposito & Don Cheadle
they both bring a rawness to acting that I just love I mean I can’t even describe it, it’s calm it’s subtle but it impactful. That’s my kind of stuff.
4. How many screenplays or scripts have written and or have produced? List titles please.
I have 2 films that are released
I wrote “You Toxic AF”
I co wrote “Deadly Cure”
Those 2 are out.
coming soon
“Crash Out”
“You Toxic 2”
“I Win”
“Privilege 2 Die”
& many more that are untitled.

5. What are some pitfalls you've experienced in your career?
Getting people to see the value in screenwriting with the rise of attention on independent film making a lot of film hustlers are emerging and their only focus is the money which is VERY important but if you do good quality work the money will come. Some people don’t understand the how valuable a GOOD script is to a production.
6. What are your best experiences in your career?
When I finished my first full script.
7. Are you independent or do you have a contract with a movie producer?
Independent
8. What is your all time favorite movie or movies? Why? Would you change anything about the story plot?
Silence of the lambs it’s a perfect film literally every aspect of film making done at the highest level, Goodfellas I mean they way Martin took u on a emotional roller coaster CINEMATICALLY with this is just admirable the characters were real and true to what they were presented as I just love it, The temptations I love the 1950s & 60s music and this was also a great script paired with great acting and directing and another thing I think sticks out to me about these movies is the production design the way it’s incorporated into the story, Devil in a Blue Dress I wished this was longer and it’s a movie I wouldn’t mind seeing a remake to , Jason’s Lyric probably one of the first black “love story” films I watched as a kid and it was the familiarity of the characters and the environment I saw myself in lyric and knew the other characters well I felt seen , Columbiana whats not to love, one of the greatest film opening of all time sheesh and I love a bad ass female lead, What’s love got to do with it 1950s, music , great acting, I mean it was perfect
I could go on forever I love a lot of movies, & No I wouldn’t change anything.
